histoTALK: Remembering the Holocaust A conversation with survivor Alfred Garwood
January 27 is International Holocaust Remembrance Day. histoCON has invited Alfred Garwood, survivor of the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp for a talk with Esther Selman, an educator in Berlin and histoCON community manager.
The event will take place on January 27 from 7 to 8 pm.
Alfred Garwood was deported to Bergen Belsen concentration camp at the age of 8 months together with his parents and sister. His trauma as a child has also led him to focus on healing trauma in his professional life. He is a group analyst and a retired honorary consultant adult psychotherapist.
Today he is still working as a general practitioner. Garwood also founded 'Child Survivor Group of Great Britain' has published on the Holocaust and deals with psychological functioning of trauma survivors.
