NECE is an initiative for networking citizenship education in Europe. A variety of activities have been developed within its framework to encourage contacts, co-operation and synergies. Besides the inspiration of trans-national discourses on topics and challenges of citizenship education and the stimulation of knowledge transfer several European projects have been established during networking events. The follow-up workshop in Trent provided the opportunity to advance existing co-operation projects and to include new partners. Furthermore new projects shall be encouraged. Communication and lobbying strategies as well as possible funding sources for the projects were presented and discussed.
